The aim of this article is to present an experience report on the application of a didactic proposal developed during the extension project associated with the subject of Digital Technologies in Mathematics Education offered in the first year of the Undergraduate Mathematics degree course at the State University of Paraná/Campus Paranavaí. The aim of the proposal is to use the GeoGebra software to teach the content of Similarity of Triangles in a 9th grade class at a public school in Paranavaí, made up of 38 students. The work lasted two hours and was planned taking into account the students' previous knowledge of the mathematical content covered, dividing the class into groups to discuss the activity. During the development of the proposed activity we realized that the students were interested in doing the activity, however we had difficulties in relation to using It was not possible to download the GeoGebra Calculator Suite application on the tablets, so we had to use the GeoGebra Classic online software to work with the students up to the eighth step. As the devices had different interfaces, we had to help the groups to identify the tools and use them properly so as not to have to start the construction all over again; as it was a large class, we had to stop the explanation to help the groups several times. By carrying out the extension project, we gained experience of how to work in a classroom and deal with obstacles when using Digital Technologies for Teaching Mathematics.
