Abstract

This article seeks to relate the modalities of custody within the family with the 5th Sustainable Development Goal - Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls. Therefore, verify in specific cases whether the judiciary helps or not to implement, through judgments, this SDG. The research also deals with the divergence between the interpretations of “Law No. 11.698 / 14 - Shared Guard” after it came into force and the changes that happened. The goal is to present diagnoses and what gender inequality can affect in family relationships, women's empowerment, participation in decision-making in politics and economics, in the elimination of all forms of violence and any and all harmful practices against women
