Introduction: The theme of social reintegration of individuals formerly deprived of their freedom is a relevant issue with regard to life in society. In Brazil, there has been much debate today whether current public policies are sufficient for this purpose. Objective: To elucidate, through a bibliographical review of the literature, if this collectivity has reached the experience in society in a broad way, in order to reintegrate itself into the social environment in which it finds itself. Methodology: This is a literature review of the literature, carried out in the first half of 2021, selecting national studies. Results: Five articles were selected for the review, showing that the reinsertion of ex-prisoners still shows weaknesses for full achievement. Conclusion: Although there are already positive initiatives aimed at the reintegration of ex-prisoners, these are still ineffective in fulfilling this premise.Downloads
