The objective of this study was to deepen understanding of enteral nutritional therapy (ENT) from the perspective of healthcare professionals. To establish the theoretical framework, a literature review was conducted in scientific databa-ses, with a focus on the Digital Library of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) and Google Scholar. The research adop-ted a qualitative-quantitative methodology, analyzing 15 relevant scientific arti-cles on the topic. The litera-ture review sought to explore the use of enteral di-ets, considering their benefits and challenges, as well as highlighting the role of healthcare professionals in administering this therapy in different con-texts, such as the hospital and home settings. The psychosocial impacts of EN, its in-fluence on pati-ent recovery, and the economic costs associated with its imple-mentation were also analyzed. The results highlight the importance of continu-ous training for healthcare professionals, the adoption of technologies that promote patient autonomy and well-being, and attention to the psychosocial fac-tors involved in treatment. In light of this, it is recommended to strengthen investments in professio-nal training and to conduct further research that delves deeper into the psychosocial aspects of en-teral nutrition, with the aim of im-proving patients’ quality of life and optimizing clinical outcomes.
