Agroecology has always proven to be a consolidated viable alternative for sustain-able production in the Bragança region, Pará. This study addressed the historical evolution of local agroecology, highlighting its practices, challenges, and social and environmental impacts. The research was conducted through a literature review and interviews with local farmers, emphasizing the role of agroecology in promoting food security and preserving natural resources. The results showed that crop diversification, environmental preservation, and community strengthening were central elements of agroecology in Bragança. In addition to improving the quality of life for farmers, this approach strengthened the cultural identity of the region and contributed to mitigating the effects of climate change. This work contributed to the understanding of agroecological dynamics in the Amazon context, pointing to paths for more sustainable and inclusive rural development.
