Abstract

This article focuses on the relationship between television media and the development of families and societies in contemporary times, covering the positive and negative aspects of this influence in the context of religion. Several studies have been done on this topic in secular universities, but the purpose of this article is to analyzethe influence of television on the contemporary family and society in the light of biblical teaching. For this, a bibliographic review of the most recent research related to the topic was carried out. It can be seen that television influences positively with knowledge and preaching the gospel, but it also influences negatively in some aspects such as the breaking of moral values and being an obstacle to religious activities. It was concluded that heads of households should control content watched in homes in accordance with biblical principles.
