Abstract

Vitamins and nutrients required by the body for the development of children and, conse-quently, for carrying out daily activities are obtained through a healthy diet, which is one of the factors that promote quality of life and disease prevention. A healthy diet is one in which an individual consumes foods rich in vitamins, calcium, iron, and fiber. This study aimed to show the importance of vitamins during the early stages of child development. The methodological approach used was descriptive field research with a qualitative appro-ach, conducted through a questionnaire answered by children aged 4 to 5 years at a mu-nicipal school in the city of Rondônia.
