Quality management in related health services to nursing care in chemotherapy

The nursing team in cancer care provides quality care through protocols, medical records and team training, monitoring the service provided critically and systematically, promoting adequate patient care. Objective: To analyze the quality of nursing service to patients undergoing chemotherapy. Method: Integrative literature review. Results: Sixty-six articles were obtained, twenty-one in the LILACS database, thirty-three in SciELO and twelve in BRISA. The result by combination was: 14 articles in the combination “Quality management and patient care” and 52 articles in the combination “Quality of care and treatment in chemotherapy”. Final Considerations: The nurse who works in cancer care must implement safety care for patients and systematic evaluation of the care provided by the team, observing through the monitoring of the team and the patient's record how the care is being carried out, if the protocols are being followed correctly.
